Cruising up the
Amazon, near Manau, the crew of Meu Barco has discovered a small, quiet tributary
to explore at twilight. They have apparently left the motor running and the
lights on while disembarking to play with the spider monkeys.
Fun Fact: Prehensile tails are primarily a New World adaptation. Monkeys in
Africa and Asia do not have prehensile tails. Prehensile tails are also more
common among other species in the New World.
Fun trivia: What fish has a prehensile tail?
I imagine being part of the crew of this fine boat, hence the Portuguese name,
Meu Barco. The closest I ever came to having a boat is my Steamboat Willie
hat. Too much work!
