Pentopus

Dr. Sküüter von Grammarton, Professor of Linguistics at Pathos University, has become bored with his language research. His mind kept drifting to other, more fulfilling endeavors. He has always dreamed of creating a movie monster. So, fueled by his love for science fiction movies, aided by his hobby dabbling in genetics, and funded by diverting university money that had been allocated for buying vowels, he has built a small laboratory in the long-abandoned sub-basement of the university’s Language Studies building.

Now, when he is not busy diagramming sentences and mapping paths to reuniting severed infinitives, he will sneak away to work on his new project.

Meet his first creation, Pentopus, on the day he discovered that he was created by Dr. von Grammarton solely to play the lead character in a science fiction movie. Naturally, Pentopus had a few reservations.

Would he be expected to learn lines? He really didn’t speak much. Would he be portrayed as a heartless, mindless killer, and be subsequently typecast? Will he be brutally killed at the end of the movie, or did von Grammarton make a stunt-pus? Most importantly, will he be invited back for Pentopus 2?

Apprehensions aside, there is one thing Pentopus did know for certain: he would sure look good in sunglasses at publicity events!
